Band 6: The map below shows the site of a school in 2013 and the planned on in 2016 (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The map illustrates the layout of a school site in two distinct years,2013 and 2016.

Overall,this school has significantly renovated over the given period, with the introduction of new roads and buildings.

Looking first at the school’s east part, in 2016 the playground adjacent to a building 2 has been turned into a new car park .However, the playground was repositioned and has been enlarged to construct it directly across from this car park. Furthermore, the buildings in the centre of the school were two .And,one more building was introduced in the northern part of the school.Accomodating a larger student population and in 2016 it reached from 600 students to 1000 students.

Shifting our attention to the west part of the school site,there is not a dramatic change .However,there is a new road running to the west which is located in southern part of the school .It was erected to connect the two car parks.It aimed at improving accessibility and make comfortable for students.Finally, the car park located in the northwest remained unchanged.
