The maps illustrate the changes in Frenton in the years between 1990 and 2012.
A glance at the maps reveal that the area was urbanized in 2012. There were a great deal of changes in both sides of High Street, particularly in the east.
If we look at the east part, accommodation occupied a large part of the area, constructed flats in the north is an illustration of this. Once the place of houses was converted to blocks of flats, as well as the change of café and park to hotel and golf course, which is located nearby, in the given second year. Theater and shops also
exposed to modernization, making them cinema and supermarket.
Turning to the west, school and library remained in their places without any change, with the exception of hospital, which was expanded in 2012. Instead of making the zone laden with trees, playgrounds were reorganized to flat blocks and trees section in the southwest to technopark. Moreover, bank in 1990 was altered to restaurant, making it nearer to students in school.
