The two maps below illustrate the changes that occurred in Frenton City from 1990 to 2012.
Overall, it is clear that the city underwent significant transformations and redevelopment. Notably, the café and park in the center of Frenton were replaced by a hotel and a golf course. Additionally, the houses located in the western part of the city were demolished and replaced with blocks of flats.
In 1990, the bank in the eastern part of the city was converted into a restaurant, while the area originally intended for playing fields, which featured trees, was transformed into blocks of flats. However, the hospital was renovated and expanded. Another significant change was observed in the green spaces; several trees were removed to make way for a technopark. Furthermore, the school and library buildings remained in their original locations and did not undergo any alterations.
In terms of additional changes, the café and park near the high street were transformed into a hotel and a golf course, while the theater situated just south of this area was converted into a cinema. Furthermore, the houses located on the northern side of Frenton were replaced with flats by 2012. Lastly, a building that previously served as a shopping area was converted into a supermarket.
