The maps illustrate how the the city called Frenton developed from 1990 to 2012.
Overall, it is clear that the city had become much more urbanize with some dramatical changes in accommodation and substantial reduction in green space over the 22 years period.
There were some major changes to the west of the high street in the city which a lot of thing had been replace comprehensively. Firstly, the Playing Field had been demolished for the Blocks of Flats’ appearance. In addition, the hospital nearby was extended to be bigger than it was in 1990. And whereas the school and library had remained unchanged, bank was turned into a restaurant which located to the south of the school. Another enhancement was the place of trees in the south-western corner of the city had been removed, and the technopark was built in 2012. Besides the evolution in the west of the city, there are also something had been changed to the east of the high street.
The area to the East experienced a remarkable tranformation, the most noticeable was the place for cafe and park was pulled down to give way to the hotel and golf course. Another significant change was the increased in size of accommodation, houses had been changed to Blocks Of Flats and another Flat was appeared in the north of the city. In common with these change, the final development was the enhancement of the theatre and shops to became cinema and supermarket located in 2012 which located in the south of the city.
