The maps delineate various changes of Frenton town between 1990 and 2012.
Overall, Frenton was gradually modernized over the period when the small town had more buildings and less green area on both sides of the High street.
On the right of High street, a Cafe and park zone was substituted by a Hotel and golf course. Next to this area was Blocks of flats upgraded from a townhouse, then moving to the North, a Flats, which adjoin the right side of High street, was built up after being uninhabited 22 years. The year 2012 witnessed the conversion of Playing fields to other Blocks of flats in the top of the map. There was a small hospital below the Playing fields, then it was augmented and adjacent to High street. A Bank in the left side of the hospital was also annihilated to make room for a Restaurant.
It can be seen that the innovation in constructions and facilities of a Trees area, Theatre and Shops to become a Technopark, Cinema and Supermarket, which were more modern and more community services. There had been an unchanged School and Library for 22 years.
