The given map shows us Milton in 2012 and 1980. Milton was a small village in 1980. However, it transformed to a bustling town in 2012.

Passing through the center of the town, we have high street. The Right side of High street is less congested than the left side.

In 1980, the right side of High street was the residential area because it had all the houses. However, in 2012, we have flats on both sides. We can also notice that a lot of the greenary such as play ground and trees had been sacrificed in favor of flats and technopark. The park and cafe has become hotel and golf course in 2012. The transformation of houses and shops into flats and supermarket, suggests that standalone building such as seperate shops or houses are no longer favorable in 2012.

Some essential buildings such as school and hospital remain untouched. Unfortunately, the same thing can not be said about the bank. Even though the bank is an essential building, a restaurant is favoured in its place. Surprisingly, no new buildings were built from scratch. It appears as if the older plots were modified to accomodate for newer buildings.
