The two maps shows the layout of Grange Park in 1920 and how it looks today.
Overall, it is obvious that Grange Park has been completely redeveloped from a traditional park with simple features such as a fountain and glasshouse into a modern public area with new entertainment and recreational facilities.
In 1920, at the centre there was a large fountain surrounded by seats. To the left of the fountain stood a stage for musicians. On the right side contained a glasshouse. There were rose gardens located in the northwest, southwest and northeast corners and a pond for water plants was situated in the top right corner. Entrances were available from both Arnold Avenue at the top and Eldon Street at the bottom.
At present, the park has been significantly modernized. The fountain has been replaced by a bigger rose garden with seats around it and the stage for musicians was redeveloped into an amphitheatre for concerts. On the eastern side, the glasshouse and pond were removed and replaced by a café and a children’s play area. Instead of glasshouse now there new water feature was added near the southern entrance and an underground car park was built with its entrance in the southeast corner
