The maps illustrate how Ferries developed from 1992 to 2012.
Overall, Ferries underwent significant changes with the redevelopment mainly focusing on modernising the hospital and enhancing traffic flow. In addition, several new facilities were also introduced, including a restaurant, a supermarket, and a technopark.
In 1990, Ferries was largely rural, dominated by a school in the northwest and extensive houses to the east. The hospital was situated in the central part of the ferries. The library and trees were in the south, while other shops were situated in the southeastern part of the town.
In 2012, the original houses have been removed and replaced by a block of flats located in the eastern part of the town. A bank has been converted into a restaurant, and the school and playing field with trees have been retained, but the hospital has been significantly expanded. Moreover, shops have been replaced by a supermarket.
