On the left, "Notion industrial area now" features a roundabout with three exit roads at the north, southeast, and southwest, marked respectively 'N - 45° E', 'S - 45° E', and 'S - 45° W'. Surrounding buildings are marked Residential, Factory, and Industrial at the northeast, southeast, and southwest of the roundabout. On the right, "Planned future development" shows a similar roundabout with five exit roads, labeled from north in the clockwise direction 'School', 'Residential', 'Planned', 'Factory', and 'Industrial'. An additional road extends northwest from the roundabout, with buildings marked School, Residential, Planned Industrial, Factory, Industrial, and Planned Services. The maps given illustrate the current site of an industrial area in the town of Norbiton, and the foreseeable renovation of the site.
Firstly, the most noticeable change is the demolishing of factories as well as the construction of housing which will be replacing them, turning what once was an industrial area into a residential area.
Secondly, many facilities are planned to accommodate the expected residents. These facilities include a school, a medical centre, and shops. Looking at the future development map, the school is located in the east side of the map, and near it is the playground which located by the river bank. The medical centre and the shops are located in between two roundabouts. One of the roundabout, the smaller one, is newly added to the road system. The old roundabout has gotten two addition roads branching from it, and both lead to housing areas, but one of them, the north facing, required crossing a newly planned bridge to go over the river.
