The two plans show how an island has been changed since 1980. Overall, more amenities have been added to the island, and access to different parts of the island has also been made easier with the construction of special paths.
In 1980, in terms of buildings, there was a reception in the middle and a restaurant to the back of it. Visitors to the island could stay in some hut-style buildings on each side of the reception. Regarding the vegetation, there were some palm trees on the eastern and western parts of the island. With access, the accommodation was connected by footpaths and a vehicle track linked the restaurant and reception with a pier, where people could go sailing.
Now, the island has changed greatly. When it comes to amenities, where there used to be a restaurant, there are now shops and restaurants. Some apartments have also been constructed on the eastern area of the island, which have access to a diving school and a pool by foothpaths. People can now use a surf beach on the eastern coast. Regarding unchanged features, the reception, the pier, and accommodation on the western part of the island remained unchanged. While the island’s vegetation on the western side has remained unchanged, trees on the western part have been removed to the east-coast.
