The two given maps illustrate the changes that occurred in the ground floor layout of a university department from 2000 to 2015.
Overall, the department had undergone a notable transformation, with the introduction of new amenities, the expansion of certain existing facilities, the removal of trees, and the remaining unchanged of some figures.
In 2000, the main entrance led directly to the corridor running between two rows of rooms, which was extended northwards by 2015. On the western side, the first two seminar rooms (S1 and S2) were situated in a fixed position throughout the period. Opposite them was the office, the library, and the seminar room S3.
By 2015, the office remained in its original position, while a new seminar room (S5) was added adjacent to S3. In the northeastern part, the former garden area was cleared to make space for a separate block containing the relocated library and a new IT center, connected by another corridor. A car park was added to improve accessibility for students. Meanwhile, the road network remained unchanged, with the main east-west road and the short northern branch.
