The map depicts how the ground floor layout of a university department changed between 2000 and 2015.
Overall, there were several alterations in the design of the department, including a new IT centre, car park, and other amenities. Despite the changes to the area, the general position of the entrance and road remained the same throughout the period.
In 2000, the ground floor consisted of five main sections, three of which were seminar rooms (S1, S2, S3), while the remaining spaces were a library and coffee area. A long corridor ran through the center of the place, separating S1 and S2 rooms on the left, whilst S3 and other facilities were positioned on the right side. At the same time, a garden area was located on the right-hand side of the department.
By 2015, the layout of the building had changed considerably, reflecting the addition of new lecture rooms and other amenities on the main site. Two additional lecture halls (S4, S5) were constructed to the north side of the existing rooms, divided by a long corridor. The office area was extended notably, while the library section was relocated to the east of the building, replacing the greenery space. A new IT centre was established adjacent to the library section, while a large car park was introduced to the right side of the main entrance just before the university.
