The provided maps illustrate the transformation that occurred in the premises of a university department between 2000 and 2015.
Overall, the campus experienced major renovations, with the most significant alternations being the introduction of a new car park, an IT centre, and the extension of the main building; meanwhile, greenery was removed.
Looking first at the main study hall, in 2000, there were three classrooms named S1, S2, and S3. After fifteen years, two new rooms, subsequently named S4 and S5, were added, providing space for extra classes. The office remained at the bottom-right side of the building throughout the timeframe, whilst the library was moved to a new structure nearby.
Regarding new facilities, to the east of the main entrance to the main hall, new parking space was built, making university attendees’ and employees’ commute much more convenient. Conversely, green space was cleared to make way for a new building, which contained the IT centre, offering new technology to students, and this is where the library was relocated.
