The maps depict the developments of Colwick Arts Centre has evolved over the years, with various expansions and improvements. We can see that the Centre expanded and additional facilities were built over this time.
One of the most significant changes was the development of the outdoor space. In 2005 there was an empty plot of land outside the Centre. Trees were planted there and an outdoor exhibition area was created. The café was relocated to the front of the Arts Centre and tables were installed outside. Inside, a central exhibition area was established. The information desk was moved to the front of the central area. There were two galleries in the past but only one remains, however, a drama studio has been built. In 2005 the concert hall and cinema were in the same space, whereas now they are separate. In addition, an extra meeting room was constructed. The toilets moved to the opposite side of the Centre.
So, it is clear that Colwick Arts Centre is more appealing today and has greater facilities than in 2005.
