The two maps illustrate the transformation of Colwick Arts Centre between 2005 and the present day. Overall, both the centre’s interior and exterior spaces have been renovated with an addition of new facilities.
One change that stands out is that the previous concert hall and cinema was redeveloped to become a small cinema provide space for a drama studio and an central exhibition area. In 2005, there were two galleries on the right, but today they have been merged into one. After that, they were expanded and converted into a concert hall. The pre-existing meeting room and part of the snack bar make way for the new gallery. The remaining portion of the snack bar in the upper left corner has been demolished and replaced by two small meeting rooms. The information desk is the only place that has not changed its location. A new cafe has been added behind the gallery, in the place that was an prior toilet in 2005 and the old one moved to behind concert hall nowadays.
Another noticeable change is that the wasteland behind the Arts Centre has been renovated by transformed into an outdoor exhibition and performance area, complete with a stage and surrounded by many trees.
So, it is clear that Colwick Arts Centre has changed significantly since 2005.
