The two provided maps illustrate the development of a town called Felton that took place between 1990 and 2012.
Overall, the town experienced a major change, particularly in the replacement of some green spaces, development of recreational amenities and expansion of housing areas and healthcare centers, contributing to a more convenient and functional urban area.
In 1990, the town had been characterized by a relatively simple layout. The high street laid in the middle of the town and divided the town into two different sides. To the left-hand side of the road stood some playing fields with trees in the north. While a school had been adjacent to its west, a hospital lay just to its south. Additionally, a bank and a library had been built to the south of that school and hospital, respectively. Otherwise, a park featuring a cafe had occupied the center of the opposite road. The park had been near some houses for the inhabitants. There was a theater which had a location opposite to some green spaces in the southern part of the map, it was also near some shops.
In 2012, the town slightly adjusted to focus more on recreation and housing facilities. While the hospital was enlarged, the former bank and playing areas were removed to make room for a new restaurant and some blocks of flats, respectively. This went the same with the park and cafe, which were converted into a hotel and golf course. The other trees were transformed into a technopark. The old theater across from the technopark became a cinema with a supermarket close to it instead of the shops. The town introduced flats to the northern side of the course. Besides, the houses became some blocks of flats.
