The maps illustrate the transformation of a museum between 1998 and 2008. Overall, the museum has witnessed significant changes, undergoing substantial redevelopment in the west while leaving the permanent exhibition rooms in the northeast unchanged.
In the center of the layout, the garden occupied the same place, while a cafe seating area was added along its northwestern edge and fountains in the opposite direction. The original cafe, which had stood directly above the garden in 1998, was retained in the upper section, but it was reduced by half and made room for an adjoining WC by 2008. There used to be a range of permanent exhibition rooms in the northwestern corner of the museum, then demolished and replaced by a restaurant.
The temporary exhibition on the Southwestern corner was relocated and expanded twofold toward the north, adjacent to the garden. Meanwhile, the bags and coats section, together with the shop, was transferred to the opposite side of the museum. An additional block was constructed at the bottom-right corner, expanding the eastern permanent exhibition zone to cover a third of the overall plan. Another striking point is that the ticket booth, entrance, and exit remained unchanged over the period.
