The maps illustrate Huntingdon as it is now, and how it will change in the future.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is already apparent that many significant changes would be made in the future. Most noticeably, the development of a traffic system and a new industrial estate.
Up to the present, the center of Huntingdon town is being surrounded by a short ring road that divides the center with other building areas, including homes, shops, etc. The ring road is connected with the A1 highway through Brampton from east to west when the A14 highway can only be reached by a round on the A1 road near the airport on the north . There is also a railway on the west of the ring road, running from the south, through the built-up area to the up to to the north-east.
In the future, the town center and the built-up area will remain unchanged. A dramatic change is there will be a round at the crossroad of Brampton Street and the A1 highway so that the railway will be easier to be approached. The south-east part of the A1 highway will be connected directly to both round way and A1 road, though this will reduce the ability to reach the current round. A huge change will be marked on the north-west when the old airport will be replaced by a new industrial estate and two new additional railway will be added and connect to the main current railway.
