The maps below illustrate changes of Pebbleton 20 year ago and today.
On the whole, Pebbleton has experienced substantial redevelopment over 20 years, with new amenities and roads introduced whereas some buildings disappeared. However, the village’s key landmarks remained unchanged.
Starting with the west side of Pebbleton, the film studio is turned into flats, similarly the old fort reconstructed to a children’s playground. In addition, on the north side of the coast road, a new road called a footbridge is built and continued with the footpath. Consequently the footpath has access to the new tennis courts which is established in front of lighthouse lane. The school and the playing field remained unchanged.
Moving to the east side of the map, it is clear that the houses have been extended with adding new 3 houses. Moreover, a community centre is constructed between the houses and the lighthouse. The place around the bridge did not experience changes.
