The maps demonstrate the current Islip town and Islip’s town in the near future. Clearly, the town in the future will have rapid development with the appearance of dual carriageway surrounding the town, along with a dedicated pedestrian lane and many other infrastructure.
On the current map, there is a main road running through the town from west to east with shops along both sides of the road. Rural areas are located in the north of the map, while residential areas occupy most of the south. In the residential area, there are also schools and parks, with a small road connecting from the main road.
In the development project of Islip town, the most prominent is the dual lane running around the new town. There are also designated pedestrian lanes in town. The old row of shops on the north side has been replaced by a shopping mall, bus station and car park. There is also a new housing complex being built next to the car park. The park is expected to be smaller in the future and the school will still be located at the same location.
