Band 5: The maps below show the center of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The two maps show the same town named Islip while the frist one is present and the second one is after redevelopment for citizens.

Looking first at the one present redevelopments, the shops are located beside the main road that also connected with the park and School. There are two housing facilities which are situated in the north-west and south-west sides from the park the.

Moving on the second map, the main road has been completely removed and built a dual carriageway which is surrounding all establishments. Now, let’s describe about them. There are several things newly added such as a bus station, shopping centre and car park for residence that is accessible only for pedestrians and just beside shops are shifted. In addition, after planned the development housing facilities dramatically increased on the northeast, south-west and end of the south sides of the Islip town centre.

Overall, comparing the two maps, there are significant changes after this development. Not only lots of facilities are built on the town, but also it has been proper organised which was more convenient for citizens
