The maps illustrate the central area of a small town called Islip as it is now and plans for its development. Overall, the area will undergo several significant modifications such a dual carriageway will replace the main road, new facilities in the centre of the town and additional housing with an expansion of the shop centre.
As can be seen, Islip town centre nowadays consist of two arrays of shops across the map from the west to the east, surrounding the Main Road at the middle of the map. There is a path lead off from the Main Road to a school at the southwest of the map and a park at the other end of the Main Road. Between the school and the park are two housings.
On the other hand, there are many noticeable changes will be done to the centre of the tow. First of all is the removal of the Main road and the construction of a dual carriageway surround the whole centre, the Main Road will be exclusive to pedestrians. Secondly, the upper array of shops will be replaced by a big shopping centre with new facilities such as a bus station and a car park.
