In 2008, East Haven had an old town surrounded by derelict warehouses, an arts centre, a school, residential areas, and an industrial complex in the South-East. There was also a large woodland area with a lake in the North-East.

By 2016, the derelict warehouses and old town were replaced by a car park, offices, and a university, while the lake was converted into a small pond. The arts centre was replaced with a multi-screen cinema and a shopping centre. The industrial complex expanded further to occupy the South-East. However, the school and residential areas remained in the same locations.
