The two maps reveal developments in the town of East Haven between 2008 and 2016.
Overall, it is clear that the urban area experienced significant development, exceptionally with the replacement of the old generation by modern facilities which are university and shopping center. The area became citified over this period.
In 2008, East Haven had an old town encircled by derelict warehouses, a school, an arts center, residential areas in the northwest, and an industrial complex in the southeast. There was also a large woodland area with a lake in the northeast.
By 2016, the old town and derelict warehouses were replaced by offices, a university, and a car park, while the lake was transformed into a small pond. Additionally, the residential area had been demolished and an industrial complex extended to occupy the southeast. The arts centre and residential area in the northwest was changed to a multi-screen cinema and shopping centre. However, the school and residential area remained in the same locations.
