These two maps display the alteration of the town landscape during sixteen years from 2000 to 2016.
There were several general trends. For example, the process of replacing of old facilities by the new ones, and also the development of other locations.
As for reconstruction of former buildings, the maps demonstrate that the disused car factory became the technopark, the shops in the east part of Wetherby was transformed into the multi-storey car park and the farmlands in the North-west gave way to the new housing complex. More over the open-air food market in the center of the town turned into supermarket and the house with gardens was replaced by the hotel with spa.
Despite such a great urban transformation some areas of Wetherby experienced lesser changes, as the maps shows, the square just became more developed with trees, on top of that the particular region remained untouched, for instance the woodland with the lake did not change.
