The two maps illustrate the main changes that took place in the map of riverside town in 1970 and 2019. Overall, the riverside town became more residential area with new buildings. A new luxury residential housing area and airport built instead of undeveloped land at the left corner. In 1970, the were only three buildings, the western side of town was only residential housing area, and the middle of area was central business distric. The recreation business area was the southern side of town. The eastern corner of the town was almost empty with just only undeveloped land.
Fast forward to 2009, the riverside town experienced a major transformation, with just three facilities remaining unchanged- the residential housing, recreation area and central business distric. The luxury residential housing area and airport were built on previously the undeveloped land. The central business distric area was widened which was surrounded by a high speed rail link in the heart of map.
The new golf course was built in the eastern side of town. The final changes including the residential housing area was constructed just above the recreation are in the northern west side of riverside town. Likewise, the old residential housing area stayed unchanged.
