The maps illustrate the transformations that have been took place in the art gallery on the ground floor between the year 2005 and present day.
Overall, it is apparent that the art exhibition underwent significant modifications, mainly involving the introduction of more facilities. These changes have been made to greatly enhance the experience of patrons.
In 2005, at the entrance of the gallery, there were the entrance hall and the exhibition room 1 on the right-handed side, followed by connecting seamlessly with other 2 exhibition rooms 2 and 3 till the end of the gallery. Across to the exhibition room 3, on the left-handed, the cafe shop was introduced where they are separated by the stairs locating in the middle at farthest side of this gallery. Just below this, there was the receptionist in the middle of the room. Next to cafe shop, the gallery office and another exhibition room 4 dedicated the last space on the right side of this gallery.
Turning into the art gallery reconstructions, nowadays, before the entrance, the ramp for wheelchair is introduced on the left side. The 3 exhibition rooms on the right-handed side are remained intact, however, the new development of the lift is occupied the empty space next to the remaining stairs. Interesingly, the cafe shop is replaced by the gallery office with the vending machine next to it. The exhibition room 4 is completely renovated into the temporary exhibition insteads and the construction of children’s area. The receptionist and extrance hall are narrowed down.
