In 1815, Most part of the settlement was covered by Dalton forest. This area was like village more, because there was a hall farm and a few houses. So they used to raise livestock around the ford and river.
In 2015, the town of Dalton had developed and the small road had become a main road. Futhermore, the bridge across the road, which connects other side of ford which had been forest, airport, hotel, school and hospital were built for increased population. As a result, a little part of the town was covered in 2015. Industrial zone and the airport could also be reason for calling the town developed.
