The archtectural site plan compares the change of Grand Park throughout years by giving two images in 1920 and today, respectively.
Overall, location of elements are almost the same, but also there is some element differences.
In 1920, ıt can be seen that park has three rose garden, but today, one of them is still exist. For example, one of the rose garden that was on left replaced to cafe space. Next to the cafe a children’s play area was designed in the location of pond water plants which eas existed in 1920. There was a glasshouse space at the first stage, however it also replaced to a water feature.
Fountain space which was middle of the park was canceled at today’s design decisions, so a square rose garden and seats areas around them were designed there. Also, stage for musicians was extented to amphitheatre for concert which is seats areas was included to this design decision in today’s plan.
There were some elements which were unchanged, such as two opposite enterances. Hence, a new enterance was added to underground car park
