Overall it is clear that park has seen a significant modernization with the replacement of pond for water plants, fountain, and glasshouse.
In 1920, Grange park was simple rectangle bordered by Arnold Avenue (north) and Eldon Street (south). Each corner held a rose garden, with a musician stage beside the northwest bed and a glasshouse on the southeast edge. A tiered fountain stood at the center and a pond for water for water plants, lay in the northeast. Finally, there were four benches which spaced around the park’s edges.
Today, the central fountain and pond are gone, and replaced with a square rose garden with seats. The northwest stage transformed to a semi-circular Amphitheatre for concerts, while glasshouse has been removed in favor of water feature. Children’s playground and adjacent café now stand in sites of the former water-plant pond and the benches that were removed. On Eldon street a new underground car-park was introduced.
