The maps show developments which took place at the coastal town of Templeton between 1990 and 2005.
In 1990, the town was a much greener residential area with a large number of trees and individual houses, but during the next 15 years the town experienced a number of changes. The most noticable is that all of the trees west of the River were cut down. Moreover, a number of individual houses east of the river were knocked down and replaced by a supermarket and apartments.
A few trees north-east corner of the river remained. Further developments were a construction of an airport near the school and hospital. For more details, a new industrial state with a factory south-west of the lake was built, with a new stretch of railway along the river.
Overall, a comparison of the two maps reveals a change from a rural to a mainly urban landscape.
