The maps give information about the landscape changes that occurred at the seaside resort of Templeton in the span of 15 years from 1990 to 2005.
Overall, it is clear that there are significant changes including recreational facilities, accommodation, shopping facilities, and better transportations at the expense of greenery.
In 1990, the seaside was a much greener residential area with a large number of trees and individual houses, but during the next 15 years, it experienced a number of dramatic changes. The most noticeable change is extension in railway line together with ferry service in the south east of the river. Moreover, a majority of trees and individual houses west of the railway station were removed to make way for factory. Furthermore, all of the trees north west of the school were cut down and replaced by airport.
All of the trees and individual houses west of the river had been turned into apartment buildings and supermarket with a new road dividing between them. Another development was the construction of individual houses in the south of the lake. For more details, there used to be a villa to the north of the river in 1990, but by 2005, it had been demolished to make way for more apartment blocks.
