The illustrations present the changes that took place in a town named Willington from 1708 to 2000.
Overall, the town has witnessed various transformations, most notably with more facilities for residential purposes. The most significant change was the construction of a bridge and the addition of residential facilities
In 1708, there was a river situated on the western side of the map,east of which was 4 blocks of farmlands. Besides, located in the southeastern side were two villages which comprised about 100 homes, and dense woods cover the south-east, there was no bridge linked the river banks.
In 1860, a bridge was constructed to link the river banks, south of which was a wetland for birds. In addition, a road was constructed to link the river bank and the village. Referring to villages, there was an addition in the number of villages, resulting from the removal of two farms and a small amount of the dense wood. In 2000, on the eastern river bank, loads of shops could be found to serve commercial purposes. Additionally, the residential development surge to approximately 500 homes in the north-west. Moreover, the road was extended which linked the residential facilities to the sports clubs and schools in place of the deconstruction of the woods.
