The maps illustrate changes that occurred to Hassleton-On-Sea from 1999 to 2016.
Overall, Hassleton-On-Sea experienced massive reconstruction over the given period. Over 5 new buildings and beach facilities were constructed, and a large road change occurred in 2016. Harbour and Hassleton Pier remained relatively unchanged.
On the one hand, large changes happened inland. Houses located northwest were replaced by camera, clothes and sports stores. Moreover, docks situated east moved to Hassleton Pier, joining it, and were replaced with Cafe 57. Furthermore, Hassleton Road, crossing the city, and Harbour Street, located south, merged into New Hassleton Road. To the west of this road, The Grand Seaview Hotel with its car park was constructed; to the east, the Sailing Club replaced Woodland.
On the other hand, there were a few coastal refinements. A car park, located north of Hassleton-On-Sea, was enlarged. New stairs were constructed to connect the car park and the beach. The beach was expanded east, and beach huts were established west of it.
