The diagrams depict the transformation of the ground floor layout of the library from 2001 to 2009. Overall, the library has undergone significant renovations, signifying a notable transformation with the introduction of new features and revitalization of various sectors, particularly in newspapers and periodicals.
In 2001, upon passing the entrance at the bottom, a librarian’s desk could be seen Infront of it. On the right side of the desk, there was a staircase leading to the upstairs. The central area of the floor was occupied by eight tables arranged in two vertical lines. On the right side of these tables were shelves dedicated to newspapers and periodicals, while on the left-hand side, bookshelves housed volumes on self-help and history genres.
By 2009, several changes had occurred in the library layout. While the entrance, librarian’s desk, and stairs remained the same, a new computer had been established at the upper part of the stairs. The tables in the center had been rearranged into four units, forming one straight line, with a children’s area situated above. On the right side of the floor, the former newspapers and periodicals segments had been transformed into a space for films and DVDs. At the top, the fiction section had been replaced by a dedicated children’s area. On the left side of the floor, new features were added, including a law, economics, and kitchen area, as well as fiction genres. However, the sections for self-help and history remained unchanged.
