Two plans compare the layout of a nature museum of two separate years in the past.
Overall, the museum had expanded significantly among three years and a larger area allowed it to provide more functions for the visitors.
In 2010, there existed a large garden on the east side of the main building. Passing the entrance of the museum can visitors stand in a rectangular lobby with a ticket desk situated on the left side. On the north side of the lobby was the ocean hall, on the left of which was a room for mammals. The dinosaur area was located on the south-western corner of the museum, close to both the ticket desk and the mammals section.
The museum in 2013, in comparison, was nearly twice as large since the garden was substituted by some other sections of the building. The dinosaur section and the Ocean Hall remained unchanged while the exhibition for mammals were replaced by Ice age animals and a small section for insects. On the east side of the lobby added a shop, a café, a room for mammals and for Human Origins Displays with the café located on the south-eastern corner and mammals room located on the north side.
