In 1930, Stokeford has a bridge to the north over River Stoke, with farmland on either side, and a road leading southeast from the bridge to a post office, shops, and a large house southeast, with a primary school and gardens further east; two distinct areas of farmland are present. In 2010, the map features the same bridge and river location but with significantly less farmland, a notable increase in residential housing replacing previous farmland especially east of the primary school, a newly introduced retirement home north of the primary school, and the primary school maintains a similar position, with roads more connected forming more loops and links.

The given maps illustrate the village of Stokeford’s development in 1930 and 2010.
Overall, the farming village is converted to a residential area to serve a higher number of people. Moreover, a lot of buildings had been built to replace the farmland.
In 1930, there had been a large amount of soil for farming as many cows were raised. However, after 80 years, the farmland had disappeared to build more houses as the number of villagers increased rapidly. The cows were no longer to be raised in the village of Stokeford.
The primary school has also expanded to teach more local students. Additionally, two shops , which were roughly opposite to the primary school, were replaced by the houses. Besides, the gardens were smaller to leave room for the retirement home taking care of the elderly people.
