These maps show us how did a coal mine redeveloped into a visitor attraction in years.
Overall, most of the territory has changed . Some facilities changed their purposes, while some remained and, simultaneously, a majority have been rebuilt.
To understand the origin look of a coal mine, on the far east part of the territory two waste pits were located. On the opposite side, the office, staff’s changing room and a parking lot were were situated, in this order from the North. A the top of the map, was a mine entrance for workers, and right under it was a medical room. A lorry park was set next to the parking lot.
In the modern days, only the parking lot and the mine entrance are kept in place, despite mine switching purposes to a visitor attraction. A museum has errupted on the spot where office and staff’s changing room were previously located. Area of waste pits and the local hospital is now fenced, and inside of it a café, a picnic area and a driving track were built. Southern to the picnic area, a children’s playground is situated.
