The maps illustrate some changes that were made to STAMDORF local industrial village in England in the year 1985 and 2015.
It is clear that there were a number of modifications made to an English local village called, STAMDORF, including two housing estate, an industrial zone with staff quarter and so on. It is also noticeable that the bridge over Thames river remained in the same place.
Looking at the first picture in more detail, there were three small road side inns in the north-west part of the village of Arlington road. On the other side of the road, there was a field. In the eastern side of the village, there was a large factory.
The second map, however, depicts that the factory was demolished, and a big industrial zone with two staff quarter, was erected in the north of the village. In the other side of the road and on the either side of the river, two housing estates were established during the period. The field and inns, meanwhile, were relocated to the south-east and south-west corners of the village respectively
