The three maps illustrate the development of a public building in three periods of time.
Overall, the building has undergone dramatic changes, the most important of which is the redesign of functional areas, transforming from the history reading room into the meeting room and then converting into the theatre in the present.
In the first period, the public building was the history reading room with basic design, and a small kitchen was situated at the bottom-left corner. Outside the room, there were a large garden and a L-shaped road, covering the room. In the next period, although the position of the road remained unchanged, the history reading room was repurposed into the meeting room. Specifically, the meeting room was extended, with the introduction of a hall inside and the redesign of the kitchen layout. As a result, the garden reduced in size.
In the final period, considerable changes can be observed. the meeting room has been redesigned to become the theatre. While the road and the hall have remained intact, the garden has been removed entirely to make way for other areas. An office is established to replace the former position of the kitchen, whereas the meeting room has been turned into a seating place. Additionally, the outside area has been expanded, with the addition of an empty room and a dressing room, respectively. Along the right of the theatre, a vertical garage is constructed to provide parking needs.
