The maps provide a detailed comparison of the current Southside shopping mall and its proposed redevelopment, showcasing its transformation from smaller to bigger and more developed space.
Overall, the most notable changes are the expansion of car park and the whole shopping center by conversion of open space on the east of the map into the closed part of mall. Besides new stores constructions also will took part in future plans.
At present, since there is a fitness centre at the bottom of the map near the car park and open space in the east that includes park and area for golf course, Southside does not occupy the entire map but only a little bit more than half. There is only one entrance which is in the west just above the car park. And the mall itself includes cafe , play area, noodle shops, cinemas , department store, toilet and supermarket.
In the planned redevelopment, it is planned to extend the department store which will have its own entrance and build it instead of the park and the area reserved for golf course. As the fitness centre is going to be knocked down, the parking lot will expand by taking up its place. Moving on to the mall itself, only the first entrance, supermarket and toilet remain in place. The cafe was replaced by info centre. On the south side of the shopping centre between toilet and department store, new fashion stores are going to be constructed, while on the north side everything is going to be renovated so there will be four different stores and beauty salon.
