In every country, it is noticeable that the population varies from youth to older generation. Nowadays, in several countries, we can see that there is a condition that older people take more proportions, and this might be a problem for the government in the future. While people say the proportion between youth and older should be balanced, here are some advantages and disadvantages to having older people related to society.
Older people are more experienced in many fields no matter what their educational background they have. For instance, they are good at advising the young generation on how to deal with something and perhaps some of the old tricks in business that are still relevant these days. Nowadays, several young generations don’t know, and might be hard to handle business or even manage their wealth.
Although the older generation has so many precious experiences to be transferred, they also give problems to society. With globalization, they are facing multifaceted problems that seem hard to handle. Usually, they are struggling to use more advanced technology such as computers or other stuff that is related to workability. This might become a problem if the company has more people in older age. While they actually can do the job manually, the pace is outperforming compared to the young generation.
With several examples already mentioned before, I think that disadvantages can be reduced by putting the right person in the right place such as the older generation are should do the management stuff to enhance the company’s prosperity. This can be a solution to have a more balanced society development.
