The detailed maps provide information about a section of a villlage in 1910 and the same part of that village in 2010. Overall, the Shelton Village saw noticable changes in the development of residental facilities.
In 1910, There were three streets that consisted an empty zone, located in the middle of the plan. In the inside of the empty space, there was a large house which is surrounded by bunch of trees. The house situated at the bottom of it, and it flanked by Grocer and Baker. Additionally, the butcher and school appeared in the left side of school road. The post office located the junction of School road and London road, on the right section of London road.
In 2010, The Shelton village had experienced dramatic changes, on of which was the introduction of bank adjacent to the post office. All of buildings, which located in the empty space, were knocked down, replacing by cafe and many houses. The London road and High street were aligned by houses, which meant that the population of Shelton village had increased. The butcher was demolished to make way for Supermarket and parking on the west part of School road. Finally, the School and Post office had remained more or less unchanged over the given period.
