The illustration portrayed the modification of a small village called Wells-on-the-Water in the United Kingdom from 1985 to 2010.
Generally, the land had undergone a diverse of changes, with the most notable one regarding many new shops constructed. Other renovations in terms of roads and houses did accompany the building of this residence.
Whilst a post office located at the bottom corner still remained, a park was substitute for a farm house which used to be nearby. Concerning its right side, trees and farmlands were demolished to make way for new houses along with two banks of the River Wells. Differing from the Woods Drive staying as the same as it used to be, the Mansion Lane was expanded to the other edge through a crossing bridge newly built.
Situated on both the two opposite sides of the Woods Drive, there had been an old factory and a mansion house which 25 years later were innovated into luxury flats and a caring facility constructed near an unchanged mansion garden, correspondingly. The last disparity was the elimination of an immense area for farming on the top-left corner, which left space for the establishment of shops, a post office and the Queens Drive eventually.
