Overall, the town became mostly residential, with most of farmland replaced buy accommodation. Stokeford undergone substential changes in different areas. However, some features, such as main road and the bridge remained untouched.
To begin with, in the 1930 map, there was a huge farmland to the west of the main road, wich was fully transformed into residential area. Secondly, the east side of the main road featured a big garden with large house and a primary school.
The map of 2010 shows that primary school was expanded to accomodate the rising population, and the garden were replaced with a few houses, while large house was extended and converted into retirement home. Moreover, the main road was expanded on both sides to improve access and facilitate commuting. The post office on the east bank of the river remained intact.
