The bar chart illustrates the yearly earnings of families in the US in three years.
Overall, households with $100,000 or more earned annually were the most common, while the opposite was true for the $75,000 to $99,999 group.
The number of families earning less than $25,000 annually was about 25 million in 2007 before growing to nearly 30 million in 2011 and eventually ending at 26 million in 2015. That of the $25,000 to $49,999 earning group was about 27 million at the beginning of the period. This experienced a slight rise of almost 3 million in 2011 before landing at 28 million in 2015. Just more than 20 million was the number of households earning $50,000 to $74,999 yearly, and this stayed the same for the entire period.
$75,000 to $99,999 per year was the earning of nearly 15 million families in 2007 before dropping slightly to 13 million in 2011. This figure, which was the last among all groups, only grew to 15 million in 2015 to stay at the bottom. Almost 30 million families earned $100,000 or more in 2007. In 2011, this number climbed to 27 million before continuing to grow sharply by 10 million, becoming the highest figure.
