The bar graph compares the proportion of US households (in millions) by their yearly income in three years, 2007, 2011 and 2015.
Overall, it can be seen that the number of households with an average annual wage of $75000-$99999 was the lowest during the given period. However, in 2015, houses with a yearly income of more than 1 lac dollars rose significantly.
In 2007, about 25 million houses had an annual income of less than $25000 but showed a marginal growth in the following years. On the other hand, the households earning annually between $25000-$49999 grew in 2011 to nearly 30 million while this number fell during the later period. The households earning between $50000-$74999 and $75000-$99999 remained nearly 20 and 15 million, respectively, during the 8 years.
A dramatic rise was seen in the households with an average income of more than $100000, which escalated from below 30 million in the previous years to nearly 35 million in 2015.
