Overall, the chart exhibits that average fuel consumed by EU countries is decreased. Additionally, Slovakia with being the biggest and Greece remaines the least fuel user among all the countries that is evaluted in this chart.
In 2009, the average fuel consumtion of EU in transportation sector was 6%, which decreased to 5% in 2010. The percentage of Slovakia remained the highest in both years, though the following year the fuel consumtion decreased to around 6.5% in 2010 and approximately 8.9% in 2009. In contrast, the percentage of fuel consumtion had increased in italy, same as well in France, which was 5.2% and 4.2% in 2010 and 4.5% and 3.7% in 2009, respectively. On other hand, Austria had no change in consumtion level, which was about 5.1% in both years. Spain was also cut it’s fuel consumption level, with a decreased to 3% in 2010 and 3.8% in 2009. Greece is the only who used less fuel in transportation, despite they increased their consumtion to 2% in 2010 from 1% in 2009.
