Overall, the largest share for all types in Germany and France belonged to Conventional Thermal and Nuclear. Then, the biggest share of renewables electricity in both countries are Biomass and Hydroelectric, respectively. While the least of both markets has the same type, which is solar.
The most dominant segment for all types in Germany was Conventional Thermal, accounting for around 59.6%, followed by Nuclear at 23%. In France, the primary number is Nuclear with 76%, subsequently followed by Renewable Energy at around 13.7%. Furthermore, the highest numbers for renewables in Germany are Biomass and Wind at around 39.3% and 36.9%, respectively. In Germany, the largest amount is Hydroelectric (80.5%) and Wind (10.5%) coming next.
By contrast, the smallest percentage for all types in Germany was recorded by Renewables, representing only 17.4%. Other categories such as Conventional Thermal with around 10.3% in France followed the least. Lastly, Renewables sector portrays the smallest in Solar with around 6.1% and 0.9% in both nations.
