The diagram provides a breakdown of water use for three different purposes in two locations and worldwide.
It is obvious that a large amount of water is utilized for residential use in California and San Diego, while the opposite is true for the rest of the world.
Looking at the pie charts closely, the figures for San Diego and California for residential use are 60 percent and 39 percent, respectively, in terms of water usage. However, this trend is the lowest for the worldwide figure, constituting 8 percent of all water use. As for agriculture, there is a significant difference among them, with 17 and 28 percent of all water utilized in California and San Diego, respectively, while nearly 70 percent of water is used in the rest of the world for agriculture.
When it comes to industry, such a dramatic difference is not observed; the figures for San Diego and worldwide are the same, accounting for roughly a quarter of all water, while around a third of water is used for industry in California.
